Project Description

This 10-story, 268,000 sqaure-foot building will contain five courtrooms with six chambers, the Magistrates with four courtrooms and chambers, a Court of Appeals chamber, and a satellite library. This $123 million courthouse is expected to be certified LEED Silver after completion. The GSA administered construction of this building.

Scope of Services

CDC provided design, engineering, and shop drawings for the unitized curtain walls, integrated skylights, punched openings, and shading devices. The various systems are designed to withstand environmental, seismic, and blast loads. In addition, CDC provided thermal simulations for the harsh weather to ensure system compliance with specifications. The building had four testing mock-ups.
